CCIE BYOD Mobile Lab Exam Rules and Details
Candidates should only register for the CCIE BYOD mobile lab exam if they successfully completed the hardware compatibility test below.
Applicants must bring their gadgets in the order listed below. Candidates will receive a USB drive with a protected Linux image to lock down their PCs on the day of the event
BYOD allowed devices:
- one laptop with a power wire (subject to compatibility test mentioned below)
at least 8GB RAM (16GB or above is highly recommended)
Keyboard, one (wired or wireless with USB dongle). Absence of Bluetooth
one mouse (wired or wireless with USB dongle). Absence of Bluetooth
1 × external display connected to the laptop with a video cord and a power cable (up to 24 inches, wired-only)
a USB hub, one (wired-only, if your laptop does not have enough on-board USB ports)
If the devices brought to the testing location do not comply with the minimum requirements and other rules, or if the proctor has reason to suspect the device(s) may have been tampered with, Cisco has the right to deny applicants entrance to the exam. Please make sure you bring all the devices (and cables) indicated above and ensure they are in working order because Cisco will not be able to provide spares.
