Sumeet Khokhani joins Reliance Industries as VP Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity expert Sumeet Khokhani has joined Reliance Industries as Vice President – IRM & Cybersecurity. Before joining Reliance, Khokhani was the General Manager and Chief Information Security Officer at Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Khokhani comes with more than 18 years of diverse professional experience, with significant exposure in the pharmaceutical, government, finance, eCommerce domains. Across industries, he is known for his proficiency in Security Governance, Leadership, and Strategy, Security Operations, Security Risk Management, as well as Audit & Compliance practices. He believes in striking the right balance between business acumen and technology knowledge while continuing to be a trusted advisor to various stakeholders.

In his own words: “I drive cybersecurity roadmap and strategy that includes internal and external cyber risk exposure management, security awareness campaigns, risk based vulnerability management, IT/OT convergence, third party risk management, skill development and security practices aligned with industry benchmarks ISO 27001, CIS controls, NIST CSF & CMMC standards and frameworks.”

Khokhani holds a Masters of Science degree in Computer Networks & Distributed Computing from the University of Westminster, UK and has a bunch of professional certifications that includes CISM, CISSP, CISO, Cybersecurity Strategist, Advanced Cyber defense practice, Cyber Risk Management and Cyber Incident Planning and response.
